Shine!

Luke 8:16- ''No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.'' We are a light in this world and God wants us to stand out in it so that those who see us will give glory to God. Matt 5:16- In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven. What a privilege that we get to point people to God, for God doesn't need us to bring people to himself, yet he is kind enough to use us.

That reminds me of 'Shine' by Newsboys. It says:

"Shine,
Let it Shine before all men
Let them see good works and then
Let them glorify the Lord."

If we don't shine, who will?

Shining for God is not an easy task, but still we are commanded to let our light shine in even the darkest corners, giving praise and glory to God.

Great post, CJ. :)

P.S. Thanks for praying!

Thanks for a great post, C.J!

What a challenge that is to me to be an example to those around me and that they are watching me! Do I act like the world or do I shine the light of Jesus?!!!

A song by a famous band says, "he doesn't need us, but he lets us put our hands in."

Amen. And the darker the room, the brighter that light shines.
